Canadian Professional Soccer League I

             Final League Standings and Playoff Results

This was Canada's first recent attempt to establish a truly major national
league, inspired by the (then waning) success of ther NASL.  The league was
started in 1983, but only lasted for a single season.   Many thanks to Mark

June 19, 1983: Inter Montreal 1, Udinese ( Italy ) 1
                                Inter goal scored by Gordon Hill
                                Inter won penalty shoot-out

The league folded after its inaugural season.
