Eastern Soccer League I

This early professional league operated briefly in the first decade of the 20th century
but did not survive its first season.  Teams ranged from New England through the greater
New York City region.  Information about the EPSL I was provided by the late Sam Foulds,

The Hibernians and Thistles both were from Philadelphia; West Hudsons were
from Harrison, NJ; and Howard & Bullough from Pawtucket, RI.


The league suspended operations before the end of the season due to weather 
and scheduling problems.  It subsequently folded before the second season.
