In the East, Fleischer Yarn and Foxbury FC were the divisional finalists, and in the west, Jeanette FC and the Swedish American AA were the finalists. Most published records show that the final in 1947 was between Ponta Delgada and Curry Vets. The records also show that the same two teams met in the final of the 1948 competition with the same result and the same score. However, Colin Jose has discovered that the 1947 final was between Ponta Delgada and St. Louis Carondeletes and that because Ponta Delgada won 10-1, the scheduled second leg was not played. Early editions of the North American Soccer Guide (editied by Bill Graham) show the correct finalists. There are a number of different scores in this list compared to the USSF published records.
